Grand ceremony for the new semester & opening ceremony for “Month of Civilized Behavior” held at AFLS (East Campus) 

At 8 o’clock of March 2nd, bathed in the sunshine of early spring, over 3,000 students and staff members of AFLS at its east campus gather at the playground where the ceremony for the new semester and the opening ceremony for the “Month of Civilized Behavior” are grandly being held.
 
After the national flag is raised, Principal Huang first delivers a speech marking the beginning of the new semester. She hopes in the speech titled “Embracing the new semester and the spring of our campus” that in the new semester the “seven-colored flowers” will flourish in the campus: the red petal of this flower representing industry and hardworking; the orange one civilized language and behavior; the yellow one quality, honesty, enthusiasm and tolerance; the green one health and happiness; the blue one creativity and proactive participation; the indigo one social morals, and the violet one the great achievements of and prospects for our school. The wonderful speech by Principal Huang has planted a beautiful seven-colored flower in the heart of every student and teacher, and these flowers will surely flourish all over our campus.
 
What follows is the ceremony for the “Month of Civilized Behavior.” Vice Principal Liu delivers the starting speech. Wu Qifang from Class 8, Grade 2 of Junior High takes the oath of civilized behavior as the representative of the students. The “Month of Civilized Behavior” is aimed at further cultivation of students’ civilized habits for a warmer and cleaner campus.
 
The last ceremony is presentation of certificate of merit, where the certificates of civilized classes of last semester are presented.
